The Store:
Here at Playful Minds, we’re celebrating our 5th anniversary!! We are an independently-owned neighbourhood toy shop located in downtown Toronto. We believe in providing kids, parents and the young at heart with the toys and games that offer MORE. More opportunities for creativity, learning and, most of all, FUN!! From the classics that have withstood the test of time to the new, innovative products, we offer a well-edited selection of toys, crafts games and books for everyone from newborns on up, up up…

We promote the toys that have real play value…simply put, the toys that kids play with for a long time! We sell toys, crafts and games that are well-made and inspiring-- to capture kids’ attention and hold it. We  pay careful attention to quality, and only work with suppliers who share our commitment to children's safety. Every child is different, but we understand what makes a great toy, and we can help you find what you’re looking for. When you find the right gift, we offer lovely gift-wrapping at no extra charge—super-helpful for our busy customers.  Our loot-bag service is another thing that our on-the-go customers appreciate, along with our gift-registry program. And through our loyalty plan, customers earn points with every purchase—these points add up to free purchases in the store!

Our Community:
As a neighbourhood toy shop in Toronto, we have an important place in the community. Not only are we a really fun place to visit, we participate in all the fund raising efforts for the programs, schools and care centres in our neighbourhood. We believe in these programs because we believe in these kids! We see the difference that these programs and schools make in children’s lives, and we are proud to be a part of it. In addition, we have an up-to-date community message board for our customers, and our informed staff is also well-equipped to provide referrals for parent’s needs.
