ARTWALK
Playful Minds Toys in Toronto was proud to support the Annual St. Clair ARTWALK Arts Festival and Studio Tour. ARTWALK is the annual celebration of all forms of art in the St. Clair West area of Toronto. The mission of ARTWALK is to celebrate our diverse and vibrant community through the arts. Engaging, inspiring, and transforming the community through inclusive, creative alliances amongst local businesses, artists, volunteers, and neighbours. The ARTWALK festival was held on September 26 and 27.
Playful Minds supported the event with a crafts table at the Wychwood Art Barns with fabulous craft activities generously donated by Roylco of Waterloo, Ontario. Included in the great things to do were mask making, bead people and jewelry, finger puppets and so much more. Helping out the many children that visited the Playful Minds/Roylco craft table were Owner, Sam Caré and toy expert Erica Rodd. The children enjoyed themselves immensely and created some amazing things.

Go-Gos Crazy Bones
Toronto is crazy for Crazy Bones! With names like Nuclos, Hazard and Speed, they can't help but be a little crazy - and cute! Crazy Bones were inspired by the ancient game called 'Tabas', which Greek and Roman children played using small animal bones. Crazy Bones is a modern version of this game, played with cool, colourful characters. Whether you play one of the 7 different standard games like K.O. or Battle or make up your own game, Crazy Bones will drive you crazy with fun. There are hundreds of individual characters, each character having a unique face and name. Our Toy Store now carries GoGo's Crazy Bones - so collect them all and find the illusive rare Crazy Bones.

Karito Kids
Meet the Karito Kids! These unique and beautiful dolls are winning the hearts of children all over. Standing at 21” tall, each doll represents a different country, with a face sculpted to represent that ethnicity’s individual heritage. The dolls are styled in fabulous outfits that are also representative of fashions from their countries. These dolls are more than just pretty faces! As children donate a portion of the doll’s price to Plan International, a global children’s charity, they learn important lessons about charity, generosity, and the interconnectedness of our global community. Each doll also comes with a mystery story set in their respective countries—another great way to introduce children to different cultures.
